The aim is to increase awareness about how each sector plays a part in creating a brighter future for children.
Focus of the Brighthood Conference 2020 is how the SDGs (UN’s Sustainable Development Goals) are one of the global drivers for this issue. SDG 16.2 in Agenda 2030 specifically target child sexual exploitation: End abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and all forms of violence against and torture of children.
Over the years the conference has attracted highly knowledgeable, expert speakers from law enforcement (for example INTERPOL and Europol, Australian, British, Canadian and Swedish police), large corporations and public sector organisations (such as Ericsson, Telia, Volvo and the Government Offices of Sweden), NGO’s (National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children in the US, Lucy Faithfull Foundation in the UK and ECPAT Sweden) as well as academic researchers, politicians and other practitioners.
