Continued focus on user experience
Anna Weiss, our new UX designer joined NetClean in August. She is a great addition to our team and her focus will be on improving the user experience of NetClean ProActive.
Anna was raised in Germany and Dubai, but has lived in Gothenburg for the last three years. She studied both Graphic Design and Interactive Design, and has more than ten years experience of working in Visual Design. Before joining NetClean she worked on User Experience Design for four years.

UX design is a vital process within product development. The visual aspect of the work – the design – is more noticed than anything else, however UX design encompasses much more than that.
Anna describes the work on UX as an iceberg. The visual design is what you can see above the surface, and below you will find interactive design, information architecture, scope, strategy and research.
“Development starts with research that looks at what the customer needs both practically and from a business point of view. Then we evaluate whether this can be met through technological innovation. Then we need to gather the right kind of information in order to decide which functions to apply to a new product, how it will operate, and subsequently decide how this impacts on every aspect of the product. It is also important to continuously work with the users by testing the product so we know that we are building something that doesn’t only work, but works well.”

Anna is currently researching how NetClean ProActive is working for our users. Her aim is to learn from them how we can further improve our product.
“By understanding what the customer perceives as their biggest challenges we can evolve our product to suit their needs. This research is the basis that informs our future work. Our aim is to keep improving our product so it remains an effective tool for our customers. Our work has just begun and it will be interesting to see what it will mean for ProActive further down the line.“
